Profound – the word of the day. The proper definition, when speaking of a state, quality or emotion is “very great or intense”.
The most profound being ever can be found in Jesus Christ. Look at the synonyms: wise, perceptive, insightful, etc. Are there any that can’t be used to describe Him? The Bible is full of verses that show God’s profound love and wisdom. We can never really know how deep is God’s love for us and how much He helps us. Imagine how much you love your child, or spouse, or partner. Then multiply that by thousands, and you can maybe get an inkling of His love for us. So never doubt that whatever troubles or unhealthy addictions you face, God will be there to help you through. Blessings to all today!
Many kids are getting ready to go back to school. Here in my area we don’t start until after Labor Day. If the kids are getting bored, or you are getting tired, try some of these fun recipes to make with them!
Flavored Gelatin Wedges:
Cut an orange in half and remove the pulp, leaving the white membrane and the rind. Place orange halves in muffin tins and fill each with any flavor gelatin. Chill until gelatin in firm. Heat a knife blade with hot water, wipe dry and slice the orange into wedges. Keep refrigerated.
Mix one 6 oz. concentrated, unsweetened fruit juice with 1 carton of plain yogurt. Freeze in 3 oz. paper cups, using wooden sticks for handles when partially frozen.
Edible Play Dough:
Mix one 18 oz jar of peanut butter, 6 Tbsp. honey, non-fat dry powder milk or cocoa powder until you get a play dough consistancy. Shape any way and play.
